The National Archives
The National Archives needed a visual identity for Archives for the 21st Century, its vision for the future of archives in England and Wales. The identity needed to reflect the natural association of the archives sector with heritage – but it also had to capture the evolution of modern digital records, while complementing The National Archives and the Museums, Libraries and Archives brands.
The design focused on the concept of “paper to pixels” to reflect the transformation from historic documents to digital material. The result is a visual identity that is not only evocative but also flexible enough to use across a suite of marketing collateral.
